What’s the dress code?
We’re keeping things classy with a Western twist! Men are welcome to wear jeans and boots paired with formal shirts, jackets, or vests. For the ladies, we’d love to see dresses or formal wear that complements the occasion. Think elegant with a hint of rustic charm. Feel free to add your own style, and make sure you're comfortable enough to dance the night away!
Are there any colors you’d prefer me to wear?
The only request we have is that no one wears white (or anything close to white)—leave that for the bride! ;)
Can I bring a plus one?
At this time, we are only extending specific plus ones so that we can keep our day as intimate as possible. If your partner is invited, their name is included on this invitation.
Are my children invited?
Unless your invitation is specifically addressed to you and your children, we kindly ask that you make arrangements for them to stay at home as this will be an adults-only celebration.
Is the ceremony outside?
Yes, we are planning on having the ceremony outside, weather permitting, of course. If needed, there is an indoor space available. Since it will be August and likely hot, please plan accordingly and dress comfortably for the heat!
Where is the reception?
The reception will be at the same location as the ceremony and will mostly be indoors. However, there is also an outdoor area available for yard games, so feel free to enjoy both spaces!
What is the weather like in the area?
In August, Manitou Springs, CO, typically experiences warm days with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s (°F). Evenings can be cooler, dropping to the 50s, so a light jacket might be handy. There are heaters for the outdoor area during the reception.
P.S.A.
We kindly ask that you refrain from having your phone out or taking pictures during the ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer who will capture the moment, and we’d love to avoid having phones in the photos. Thank you for helping us keep the focus on the ceremony!
